Thanks for considering your puppy from Midwest Chihuahuas

UPDATED JULY 2022

When planning on picking up your Chihuahua from us (or any breeder) and flying back in cabin with your baby, there are things to consider.  Airlines require a reservation for your in-cabin pet as they limit the number of animals that are permitted on each flight.

FLIGHTS WHERE WE DELIVER YOUR PUPPY TO YOU ARE TO BE BOOKED ONLY AFTER VERIFYING THE DATES AND TIMES WORK FOR US. FLIGHTS WILL TAKE PLACE OUT OF SALINA, KANSAS (TWO HOURS EACH WAY FOR US), HAYS, KANSAS (ONE HOUR EACH WAY FOR US) OR WICHITA, KANSAS (+3 HOURS EACH WAY FOR US).

AIRPORT CODES ARE: SLN, HYS & ICT

Also, when booking low-cost airfare, it is best to know the cost of your animal companions ticket as they vary per airline.  These costs are current as of the beginning of 2021.

MOST AIRLINES REQUIRE A HEALTH CERTIFICATE DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU ARE FLYING, CHECK WHEN MAKING RESERVATIONS AS TO REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DAY OF FLYING.

We recommend the soft sided carriers as they tend to more universally fit.  Remember your pup must be able to stand up, turn around and lie down in the carrier you choose As we have overseen countless transfers, we highly recommend allowing us to purchase your pets carrier (at your expense) and having it delivered to our home so that your pet can get familiar with the carrier prior to the day of flying to make the trip and transfer as successful and relaxing as possible for your pet.

ALL AIRLINES REQUIRE FAA APPROVED CARRIERS. The best carriers we recommend can be purchased on Amazon or Chewy.

Please check for an Airline Approved tag when buying!
