Raising funds for heart surgery for a sweet Chihuahua
Sweet Gigi was born on October 23, 2009. This beautiful smoothcoated blue merle Chihuahua was diagnosed with a serious heart complication (PDA) and is now requiring heart surgery to repair the defect so that this little girl can live a normal life.
Gigi will first need a cardiac ultrasound to verify diagnosis and determine how long she can make it until surgery. This ultrasound has been priced at upwards of $300 and is needed within a week. After her ultrasound, Gigi will be able to have surgery to correct this problem. Canine cardiac specialists have stated high odds (upwards of 90%) that this surgery will completely solve Gigi's problem and would give her a normal lifestyle and normal life expectancy. This surgery is has been priced at $2500 to $4000.
Without surgery, Gigi will rapidly decline and would have to be put to sleep before passing of congestive heart failure. This would happen within a few short months.
Midwest Chihuahuas is asking for donations for Gigi's surgery on behalf of Gigi's new family. We all believe that this beautiful girl deserves the best chance at a happy and healthy life. The amount to raise is great but ANY help is appreciated. Even a $5.00 donation would make a difference.
This Christmastime, consider making a gift of life to a beautiful Chihuahua who is just hoping for a chance to mature.
Photo of Gigi below is at age 6 weeks. Gigi does have a brother (he is medically healthy) and her Mom, Ginger is being spayed and already has found her loving forever family.
