2008/2009 Tentative Breeding Schedule

In an effort to help answer questions for those who may be looking to add a Chihuahua in the future or are interested in a Midwest Chihuahuas puppy off of a particular Mom or stud Dad, this list has been created.

Dates are tentative as Mother Nature really decides when our girls are healthy as well as deciding the success rate of our litters and number of puppies born.

Midwest Chihuahuas maintains a two tier waiting list and recommends requesting to be put on the waiting list if you are serious about potentially adding a Midwest Chihuahuas puppy to your family.

**Choice of stud used subject to change.  If this affects your decision please advise us prior to mating.**

August - December 2009

Rufus and Satinka

These two lovely dogs (Rufus LC Chocolate Tri & Satinka SC Black Merle) make STUNNING puppies!  Their last litter had long and short coat merles of both sexes, a black brindle tri and a stunning milk chocolate brindle.  Puppies off this pair range from 2# mature to 5.5# mature with the average being 3.5-4#.  Satinkais not breeding again until 2009.

These puppies sell FAST, so if you are interested in a stunning, small well built puppy, particularly in the merle coloring, contact us ASAP!

February - June 2009

Mason and Ginger

These two wonderful Chihuahuas (Mason LC Chocolate merle est adult weight 3.0# and Ginger SC Solid red brindle 5.5#) will make wonderful puppies We have the photos to prove what wonderful puppies she made with Rufus who is Mason's father!  Always small, cobby, short legged and appleheaded, they are the apple of their families eye!    Ginger produces stunning brindles and others.  Long and short coat should be born from this union although Ginger's last litter produced only short coats.

Ginger is planning to breed as of her next heat in February of 2009

November 2008 - March 2009

Rufus and Daisy Mae

These puppies will be beautiful!  This is a first time mating between Rufus (LC Chocolate Tri) and Daisy Mae (SC light tan on white).  Daisy Mae and Rufus should have some tiny puppies.  Daisy Mae is 4.2# and petite, Rufus is 3.0# and very short and cobby.  This will be a steller litter with colors undeterminable.  However, I would expect some possible chocolates, blues and tri's based on the genetic color history in these lines.

Daisy Mae will be bred to Rufus likely in late October/early November of 2008.  Puppies will be available to go home in late December 2008 to early January 2009.

Daisy Mae is NOT owned but us but her puppies will be advertised through Midwest Chihuahuas as Rufus is the stud and owner, Mary Smith will follow the Midwest Chihuahus guarantee but do so herself.  Puppy applications can be submitted via Midwest Chihuahuas and questions about Daisy Mae can be directed to Mary at mary@midwestchihuahuas.com

TBD - Summer 2009

Zeke & Dairy Girl 

Currently we are waiting to finish evaluating Dairy to confirm that she will be of the proper health, quality, conformation and temperment. As long as she meets our criteria for breeding (Currently she is looking as if this will not be an issue), she will breed in April of 2009.  Dairy is a stunning long coated white with limited merle on black markings (she is waiting on a merle factor test for final confirmation) off a Rufus/Satinka mating.  Additional information on Dairy is on her page.

Zeke is a new addition to the Midwest Chihuahuas family.  He is proudly owned by Midwest Chihuahuas associate, Mary Smith.  Zeke is a stunning red longcoat with white markings.  What a tiny cutie Zeke is!  At 16 weeks, he is weighing only 1# 5 ounces.  Too cute for words!  Look for Zeke's page along with our associate Mary on this site over the coming days!

**A waiting list for this mating will be begun in January of 2008.  With the genetics behind these lines, we are anticipating puppies that will mature from below 2# to likely no more than 3.5#.  Please feel free to contact us for information on this future mating.
