The Basics

Satinka is a beautiful black merle smooth coated female Chihuahua with a beautiful thick and shiny coat. Born December 1, 2005, this uniquely coated girl is our tallest at 9 inches at the withers and weighing in at just under 6 lbs. She has a beautiful applehead with strong stop and a nice short nose. She has wonderfully proportionate ears that freestand. She has a nice, medium cobby build but sits on slightly longer legs.  Satinka consistantly throws puppies with short legs that mature in the 7-8 inch tall range.  She has a very nice even bite and has never thrown a puppy with an incorrect bite.

Satinka's Breeding Future

Satinka has bred to Rufus three times for Midwest Chihuahuas (04/08, 10/08, 10/09) and has produced 6, 7 and 5 puppies in a myriad of colors.  Satinka is now bred to Midwest Chihuahuas Rufus again and is due on or about April 15, 2010.  Following this litter, Satinka will not breed until 2011.  Please see her nursery page for more information!

Satinka's Personality

What a sweetheart our little Satinka is! Satinka is a sweet and loving little black merle girl who is a pleasure to be around.  Satinka loves to kiss your hand, your cheek, and get petted right on the side of her face. :) Her favorite place is in one of the many dog beds in our home and usually you can find her minding her own business and being quiet.  Let her out in the yard though and you will find a Chihuahua who LOVES TO PLAY!  Satinka loves to be silly when out in the yard, she will prance and dance!

Satinka's Production History

Satinka has delivered some amazingly beautiful puppies for us so far!  Satinka consistantly throws both long and smooth coated puppies when bred to our chocolate tri-color longcoat stud, Rufus.  Satinka's first litter, which consisted of 5 puppies, was born prior to her arrival at Midwest Chihuahuas although information on those puppies is listed below with an * after them.

Satinka has delivered three litters, each having one more puppy than the last with her history numbers as 5, 6 and 7 puppies. In October 2009, she delivered another 5 beautiful puppies.  Satinka's puppies range from 3 to just under 6# with the majority from 3.75 to 4.50 lbs at maturity.
