Information about using a Midwest Chihuahuas Stud

Midwest Chihuahuas offers stud service via conventional mating or AI (artificial insemination).  AI is at the buyers expense.  Please see below for information and stipulations. 

*Rufus, our stud listed below is over 3 years old and has succesfully sired 13 litters!  Information on his recent puppies is available on the Rufus page.*

*Check out Rufus' page for information on his breeding requirements and recent past produced puppies.  When in doubt of whether we will allow Rufus as your little girl's stud, ask!  We probably will work with you!

*Mason, our new stud listed below is the son of Rufus and Satinka.  Mason has not yet been proven and is sure to be an asset to the Midwest Chihuahuas family and will be available for outside stud service starting in 2009.  Information on him is available on the Mason page.*

Our Studs

Currently here at Midwest Chihuahuas we have two studsand we do allow them out for stud services.  Our proven stud is RUFUS, CKC/APRI/CPR registered.  King Rufus of Reeces Pieces is off strictly AKC lines, however we have chosen to not breed AKC because we have limited/selected breedings and we do not breed for show lines.  Information about Rufusis available here and more infomation about Rufus and his personality, please check out our Rufus page when you are done here.  We also are now starting to offer our new stud (anticipated to be proven with an early February 2009 mating to Ginger on this site) MASON who is a wonderful and small male born off Satinka and sired by Rufus.  Mason is a CKC/CPR registered chocolate merle longcoat who is very petite and should have an anticipated adult weight of 3.75#.  Mason will have a reduced stud fee initally, however, after his first two sired litters, his stud fee will go up.  Information on Mason is available on his page.

Rufus' Stats & Personality

Rufus is a tiny Chihuahua who packs a punch!  Full of love, life and vigor, Rufus gets along with people and animals alike.  Rufus has a gentle personality but does protect our home.  When the mail carrier comes everyday, Rufus lets me know by simply coming to me and barking three times.  He is just amazing to us and we love him dearly.  Rufus weighs an even 3#.  Sometimes he is over or under by up to 4 ounces which I attribute to whether he ate or went potty!  Rufus has a double long coat and comes off of a 3 generation all long coated line.  His apple head, cobby body and tiny nose should be visable in our photos which will enlarge if clicked (*please note photos are copywritten).  Rufus stands 6 inches at the withers and including the litter he has sired that is still unborn, has studded 11 times.  Most of those are with outside females.  He is a chocolate tri-color off beautiful tiny lines that all ran 4.25# or less.
